SkySilk Hardware Trade-in Program available to all clients in US.

By participating in the SkySilk Hardware Trade-In Program (the "Program"), you acknowledge and agree you have fully read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of the Program detailed below.

What is the Trade-In Program Process?

Each case is unique, but the general process is as follows:

1. 1. You create an inventory list of items you would like to offer for trade and send it to us.
2. 2. We will examine the list and respond with requests for clarification. This will usually relate to specific configuration, maintenance contract status, or entitlement status.
3. 3. Upon receipt of clarification we will make you a written offer. Depending on the products in question, we will try to offer packaging material or even arrange for pickup.
4. 4. Once we receive your products, we will inventory and evaluate the received products, their condition, configurations, etc.
5. 5. We will fulfill the terms of the original offer subject to the above evaluation, per the agreed terms (cash, transactional credit, etc.).

What hardware do you accept for trade-in?

All devices including, but not limited to, servers, server components, workstations, and general E-waste, will be considered for Trade-In by SkySilk on a case-by-case basis. Trade-In values may vary based on the condition of your item(s). We cannot confirm the actual trade-in value until we receive and evaluate your trade-in item(s). Not all devices are eligible for the Program. In general, we will consider most hardware devices no older than 6 years old, though we will always make a reasonable effort to accommodate your hardware recycling needs no matter how old the equipment.

What does Trading-In my used hardware get me?

SkySilk will make you an attractive offer for your used, old, obsolete, or unwanted hardware regardless of whether you buy anything from us. However, customers planning on using trade-in credit for SkySilk Products or Resources, or those who have had old hardware rendered obsolete by SkySilk Cloud-In-A-Box, will in turn receive higher evaluations for their hardware submitted for trade-in.

Is there anything I need to do prior to sending in my used hardware?

Yes. It is important that prior to shipping any and all devices, you remove all data including but not limited to confidential, sensitive,and personal data. Neither SkySilk nor the approved recycling vendor will be responsible or liable for any lost files or data.

Miscellaneous

In the event there is any conflict among or between these Terms of the Program and any other documentation made available to you in connection with Program, these Terms shall prevail. SkySilk is NOT LIABLE to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from your use of or participation in the Program. SkySilk's liability, if any, will not exceed the actual trade-in value of the device(s) as determined by SkySilk.
