What is PaaS? – “Platform as a Service” or PaaS is defined as a category of cloud computing services that provides a platform for developers to build, run, and manage applications. Platforms are served to developers by cloud computing providers as tools and hosting services that allow for virtualized deployment. This allows for easy development of dynamic applications without the complexity of building the infrastructure typically associated with launching and maintaining an app.

Businesses can spend less money overall during development. They don’t need to worry about the costs of keeping the infrastructure live. Businesses also can save during the deployment as they can scale to any size at any time easily. This is addressed by simply scaling more cloud resources from the service provider.
Put most simply, PaaS, or Platform as a Service, can be a great option for businesses and developers alike. It is an easily affordable way to ensure quality and security. PaaS scales up and down based on application needs, so users can always be served no matter the circumstance.
